Position
Summary:

Reporting to the AME Manager, this position will be responsible for managing New Product Development initiatives, cross-functional projects delivering a continuous improvement of our safety, quality, delivery, and cost through the elimination of waste from our production processes, launching new products/processes into operations, and by educating and empowering our production staff.
Primary/Essential
Responsibilities:

  • Work with the New Product Development Engineer Dept to facilitate NPD initiatives into manufacturable products meeting world class manufacturing standards, safety standards and environmental polices.
  • Develop and complete Work instructions to support NPD initiatives
  • Utilize Time studies for proper work flow and process development
  • Manage manufacturing engineering projects. Preparation of detailed project plans with estimated project task hours and timelines for development, production, validation, and launch. Will be responsible for on-time, on-budget delivery of projects
  • Support research and development of new manufacturing equipment, processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Participates in the design review process, and acts as a liaison for products from inception through shipment to the customer
  • Support New product launches and help identify areas for improved product manufacturability, reduced manufacturing cost, and improved process reliability.
  • Identify new opportunities for process improvement.
  • Design and implement tooling and fixtures focused on error-proofing to eliminate waste in the manufacturing process and make operations safer.
  • Support Process Mapping, FMEA, RIE'S and 8 Step Problem Solving, Quality Control Plan development, DFM, initiatives to promote and ensure that processes are continuously improved.
  • Support G&W manufacturing transformation to Industry 4.0 and Advanced Automation solutions.
  • Provides input to improve G&W project delivery process and standard tools used in delivering Advanced Automation solutions.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to execute projects. Prepare and deliver engineering-related presentations as required.
  • Develop requirements and RFQs for small to medium scale machinery and fixturing.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Required
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
  • 5
    years of hands-on manufacturing experience.

Preferred
Qualifications:

  • Problem-solving skills with experience using root cause analysis techniques.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of the organization structure.
  • CAD/CAM experience.
  • New product production integration or significant project experience in manufacturing operations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
