Job Description:
We are urgently looking for a contractor with skills in the standard data center activities.
This is a operations and support role.
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent job experience.
Experience:
7
years of system, network, and EUC support experience in IT.
Demonstrate understanding of complex software architectures, and the ability to help enhance, support, and troubleshoot that architecture.
Demonstrate strong collaboration skills, within function and across peer stakeholders.
Demonstrate excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and listening), with ability to build positive working relationships.
Demonstrate ability to lead, plan and excel in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Demonstrate strong problem analysis, problem resolution, and decision making and judgment skills.
Demonstrate the ability to understand technical business needs and translate into infrastructure requirements.
General understanding of IT related financials and budgets.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with the installation and configuration of Servers and Storage in a Data Center environment.
Experience with the installation and configuration Windows and Linux operating systems.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux OS and VMware.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory.
Strong knowledge of server hardware (Dell) and storage arrays (EMC).
Strong knowledge of backup/restore (Veeam, NetBackup, BackupExec) and DR technologies.
Strong knowledge of network connectivity including DNS, DHCP, VPN, data circuits.
Base knowledge of network switches, routers and firewalls is a nice to have.
Familiarity with F5 LTMs or equivalent load balancing solutions Job Type:
